RIFTSTORM Builds Hub
Account progression, in-mission power spikes, and gear risk management for the planned August 11, 2026 Steam Early Access launch.
Buildcraft in RIFTSTORM spans two timelines: in-mission power from Lythograms that reshape your Weaver each run, and between-mission investment through Periapt augments, Forge Center crafting, and loadout choices that survive successful extracts. Confiction Labs describes the game as extraction-lite—failed runs risk Weapon Scarring on weapons you brought rather than deleting all account progress. Early Access is planned for August 11, 2026 on Steam, not yet live when this hub was written. Use the pages below to plan compounding power without gambling your only god-roll on week one.
The three build layers
Layer one — Lythograms: mid-mission picks that stack damage, defense, turret synergy, or mobility. Read the dedicated Lythograms guide for selection strategy; this hub focuses on persistent builds. Layer two — Periapt: account augments Confiction Labs calls a work-in-progress at Early Access launch—still central to long-term power. Layer three — weapons: roughly thirty starting weapons at EA, expanded via blueprints and random crafts at the Forge. Tie weapon plans to Weavers kits and the Weapon Tier List.
Risk and extraction-lite
Successful extracts keep secured loot and safe weapons. Failed extracts lose on-mission gains and can scar inbound gear—replacing one mod with a random negative effect while leaving the weapon usable. The Weapon Scarring page explains mitigation, repair, and salvage. Pair with How to Extract and Rift Exposure Zones so build greed does not brick your arsenal.
Loadouts and squad planning
Loadouts maps Weaver roles to weapon archetypes, elemental coverage, and scar-resistant pairs. Trios should split elements so Botsy Going Viral and turret elements cover gaps. Use Trio Comps and the Squad Composer before high Threat farms from Threat Levels.
Featured build topics
Three articles anchor this category: Periapt for meta progression, Weapon Scarring for risk rules, and Loadouts for practical deploy kits. Start with Getting Started if you have not read the mission loop yet.
Early Access expectations
Periapt balance, Lythogram pools, and scarring severity may change during Early Access—Confiction Labs already warns of progression resets and major system changes. Re-read patch notes after major updates; start from the Guides Hub when systems shift. Builds that compound—Periapt plus Forge plus consistent extracts—beat one lucky Lythogram high roll that ends in a scarred primary.
Where to go next
New players: Getting Started → Periapt overview → safe Loadouts. Veterans theorycrafting trios: read Weapon Scarring first, then align Trio Comps with Team Tier List picks. Every build path eventually passes through the Forge Center and Guides Hub—bookmark those hubs alongside this one.
