RIFTSTORM Missions Hub
PADDOCK Contingency, Threat Levels, Combat Power recommendations, and demo operations ahead of the planned August 11, 2026 Early Access launch.
Missions are where RIFTSTORM’s co-op PvE fantasy actually happens. Squads of up to three Weavers deploy from HQ into Rift Exposure Zones, complete objectives, collect weapons and Mythic Resources, stack Lythogram upgrades mid-run, and extract before pressure collapses the operation. This hub maps mission types, selection rules, and storyline context before Steam Early Access on the planned August 11, 2026 date.
Selecting a mission at HQ
Official documentation describes mission select at the middle table in HQ:
- Browse the available mission list.
- Compare your squad’s Combat Power (CP) to each mission’s recommendation.
- Note red CP highlights—they signal higher difficulty and better rewards.
- Confirm the choice, follow the arrow to the deployment gate, and wait for countdown.
Always-online connectivity applies before countdown finishes. Verify lobby readiness with How to Co-op and Lobby Invite Codes so no one drops during load.
Threat Levels and reward scaling
Threat Levels grade mission danger and loot quality. Early Access plans curated and procedural missions at Threat 1–2, with Threat 3+ available as more experimental, less tightly balanced challenges according to the Steam Early Access description.
| Threat tier | Expected experience |
|---|---|
| 1–2 | Onboarding, core PADDOCK missions, stable balance |
| 3+ | Higher Mythic Resource odds, sharper elites, balance in flux |
Read Threat Levels before pushing red CP recommendations. Gear from Forge Center crafts and Periapt nodes determines whether higher Threat is efficient farming or wasted time.
PADDOCK Contingency storyline
The PADDOCK Contingency is Early Access’s opening mission arc—narrative and gameplay foundation for the Mythic Protocol setting. It introduces rift-exposed operations, extraction-lite stakes, and enemy families you will see in endgame farms. Deep dive: PADDOCK Contingency.
Demo mission slice
The Steam demo (app 3212570) offers four curated operations distinct from the full Early Access pool, including survival-extraction and boss raid formats. Use demo missions to learn co-op roles before risking scarred gear. Details: Demo Missions and Demo overview.
Mission loop integration
Every mission connects to hub systems:
- Extract success — Bank loot, blueprints, and materials for Forge Center.
- Extract failure — Risk Weapon Scarring on carried weapons.
- Mid-mission — Lythogram choices shape that run’s power spike.
- Post-mission — Periapt spending and squad planning via Squad Composer.
Co-op mission etiquette
Three-player caps mean mission select is a group decision:
- Host picks mission only after CP and Threat consensus.
- Agree extract conditions using the Extraction Checklist.
- Assign Frontline, Wave Control, and Elite Hunter roles before gate countdown.
- Under-tier Threat when teaching new friends even if host CP is high.
Curated vs procedural missions
Early Access includes both curated missions (hand-tuned encounters) and procedurally generated variants. Curated ops teach mechanics; procedural ops extend replayability. Expect balance passes to shift which farms are optimal week to week.
